The member elect in a message he personally signed to mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan,commended his constituents for the tolerance,love and understanding displayed during the one month Ramadan period ,advising that life of piety should be continued after the Ramadan in accordance with laid down principles of the holy prophet
According to him "I extend my warmest wishes to all Muslims in Oshodi-Isolo LGA and around the world on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr which marks the completion of the Ramadan fasting; praying that the Almighty accepts our month-long fasting, repentance, prayers and rectitude. Ramadan is a time to reflect spiritually, build communally, and aid those in need. While Eid marks the end of Ramadan, it marks a new beginning for each individual – a reason to celebrate and express gratitude on this holiday"
Continuing "It is noteworthy and delightful to see Christians and Muslims fasting simultaneously this year, breaking fast together in some instances, extending goodwill and gifts to one another. These are practices that promote brotherhood and peaceful coexistence which our country seriously need. Furthermore, I urge the affluent class in the society to help those who do not have any resources to celebrate the Eid. We should include the underprivileged in our happiness which is predominantly what Ramadan has come to imbibe in us"
