The Legislator-Elect for Oshodi-Isolo Constituency-1 into the Lagos State House of Assembly; Otunba Stephen Olukayode Ogundipe (OMOJ'OMOLO) was on Friday re-elected as the Vice Chairman of the prestigious Island Club 1938 for another term in office.
Ogundipe was elected this time unopposed with the Chairman of the Club Prince Rabiu Oluwa, a member of the Governor's Advisory Council (GAC) in Lagos.
He was earlier on returned elected for the first term in a keenly contest having scored the highest number of votes to beat other two contestants in the 2022 Club Election held Friday 13th May, 2022.
Ogundipe had served the Club in various capacities in the past which including as Member, Management Committee of the Club. He was the Social Secretary with unprecedented three term in office and his performance opened the gates of support for him to win the Club's 2022 Election where he was majorly seen as underdog. His managerial skills and experience also played role in this year Election where no one obtained form to vie against him.
