Amuwo Odofin LG hosts FHA,Security stakeholders on Environment



In it's  bid to register its commitment to a better environment across the local government, the Engr. Valentine Buraimoh administration of Amuwo-Odofin Local Government hosted Federal Housing Authority, security agencies, and principal stakeholders to a meeting to proffer lasting solutions to the deplorable state of the environment across the local government. 


Didactic issues bothering on roads, green zones, drainage, waste management and security were succinctly addressed. 



Rising from the meeting, while addressing the press, Engr. Valentine Buraimoh said, "palliative measures will be taken to address the expired road networks across Festac pending when the rainy season will end and major rehabilitation will commence." 


"I want to appeal to residents  to take ownership of their environment, we, as government will enforce compliance to environmental laws, but residents must speak up against abuse in their locality. Do not accept street trading in front of your house, apprehend people throwing refuse into the drainages" the council chairman appealed. 


Representatives from the security agencies also pledged commitment to support the administration in its desire to sustain peace and security across the local government.
