Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has congratulated Muslim faithful in the state and across the country on the occasion of this year's Hijrah 1445 AH, which indicates the beginning of Islamic New Year.
He prayed for God's guidance and abundant blessings throughout the new year; charging Muslims to be pious and be more dedicated to their Creator.
This was contained in a statement released from the media office of the governor in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital on Tuesday.
Abiodun, further charged the Muslim community to use the occasion of the celebration to pray more fervently for the state in particular and Nigeria at large
"On behalf of the government and the good people of Ogun State, I heartily felicitate our Muslim brothers and sisters on the occasion of the new Islamic calendar; may the rest of the year be filled with joy and abundant blessings of Allah ", the statement read.
