LASUCOC MOURNS PASSAGE OF OSO

The pioneer set of Lagos State University (LASU) School of Communication, (LASUCOC 2006) has expressed a sense of great loss at the sudden death of former Dean of the School, Professor Lai Oso.

The Set joined others in mourning the passing of the popular University Don who died in a road crash recently.

LASUCOC 2006 President, Kayode Jackson described Oso as a rare breed, an astute communication scholar and teacher, and a mentor to many communication professionals.

He said: "Oso's immeasurable contribution to the study of Mass Communication can not be quantified. He has left a huge vacuum that will be difficult to fill for a long time to come. His great and supportive presence will be sorely missed by all."

Jackson condoled with his immediate family particularly his wife, friends, former and current students, Faculty of Mass Communication Staff and entire members of LASU community on this huge loss.

He also prayed for the repose of his soul.
