The Executive Chairman of Amuwo Odofin local government, Engr Valentine Oluwaseyi Buraimoh has reaffirmed his administration's resolve to providing adequate public primary health care for the people of the council area.
He made the commitment at the 6th edition of the Amuwo Odofin stakeholders summit, where several participants commended the council boss for his impactful projects especially in the health sector.
The Council Chairman of Amuwo-Odofin Local Government, Engr. Dr. Valentine Buraimoh in his response to the press while attending the 6th Annual Stakeholders meeting organized by Amuwo-Odofin Maternal and Child Center said. "I am confident that Lagos isn't captured amongst the communities bearing high mortality rate of mothers and child during birth because Lagos and Amuwo-Odofin are doing the needful when it comes to providing quantitative public healthcare for citizens. Our primary healthcare centers are functioning maximally and the records are there to show for it."
The council mayor advised that more advocacy should be done to sensitize intending mothers of seeking early the medical counsel and support during pregnancy till delivery.
He also applauded the initiative of the state government under the leadership
of the Governor, Babajide Sanwo-olu for providing delivery care at no cost to pregnant women across its public health centers to serve as palliative for pains of the removal of fuel subsidy.
The meeting had several beneficiaries of the health center present testimonials of quality services by the management.
