Child Defilement: Lagos High Court Reserves Judgement
Lagos state high court in Ikeja, has deserved judgement in the case of Child Defilement and Sexual abuse by popular Lagos Medical Doctor ,Femi Olaleye
At the presentation of written addresses before the court on Friday, the presiding judge,Justice R.A . Oshodi announced that he has reserved his judgement till thursday 24th of October 2023 at 9am
In his submission and prayer, the defence Team, led by Mr Segun Fabunmi (SAN) urged the court to discharge and acquit the defendant , while the state's Director of Public prosecution,Dr Babajide Martins opposed the argument, sighting different authorities to buttress his position before the judge.
Dr Martins averred that there are convincing evidence to convict the defendant and the judge should deal with the defendant accordingly.
It will be recalled that the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) late last year dragged the Defendant,Dr Femi Olaleye to court having been found proper for prosecution based on evidence
when the police sought the advise of the office after conclusion of investigation
He was earlier reported to the police at Anthony police division by his wife,Mrs Aderemi Olaleye, who accused him of defiling her niece and having sexual intercourse with the minor severally.
