Members of the Lagos state Task force on Environment and Special Offences on Wednesday at Iyana Iba area of the state rough handled and slapped a married woman ,who is heavily pregnant while trying to confiscate he vehicle
An eye witness revealed that though the woman committed a minor traffic infraction and she was being requested to come down and hand over the key of her SUV ,a Lexus Rx 300 to them, one of the task force civilian lady, attacked the woman ,slapped her and dragged her out of the car while her colleague who is a male,in uniform took over the driving while the woman was left helpless and was asked to come for her car at the task force office
It was further disclosed that the leader of the Team,a mobile police officer after the seizure of the car and while the woman was begging for the release of her car said that he will buy the vehicle at the next auction and that the woman should go and look for a vehicle to convey goods in the car.
While at the headquarters of the agency in Bolade Oshodi, the officials informed the woman that her car had been taken to their office in Alausa for safe keeping and all efforts to get the vehicle proved abortive.
While the lady ,who is a strong APC Official in Oshodi Isolo local government area of the state continues to cry for help, the Leader of the team has failed to listen to her ,but merely "advising" her to forget the vehicle or better still come to their office on 1st week of December during the Auction, maybe she will be lucky to buy the car back, which made the heavily pregnant lady burst into uncontrollable tears
Traders and passerby expressed disappointment in the activities of the task force on the sad day as they condemned the manhandling of the woman as well as the unprofessional conduct of some civilian staff of the agency ,which is invariably dragging the name of the agency in the mud
As at the time of writing this report, the lady is still running helter skelter to seek for help inorder for her to retrieve her vehicle
Efforts to speak with the commander of the Agency, Sola Jejeloye on the matter proved abortive as calls to his mobile phone was unanswered
