The Rivers state police command has gotten a new commissioner of Police, he is CP Tunji Disu, the immediate principal secretary to the IGP
He resumed on Wednesday to a parade mounted by his officers and men who were excited to receive him to the command
In his speech, the new commissioner of Police assured residents of proactive policing in his tenure, calling for cooperation of all.
The new CP has served in several capacities across the country
He is a graduate of the Lagos state university
Beyond his law enforcement duties, CP Disu is an accomplished athlete, holding medals from prestigious events such as the US Open Judo Championship, Police Games, National Sports Festival, Nigeria Police First Veteran Championships, and the Armed Forces and Police Games. He holds a Third Dan Black Belt in Judo and serves as the Patron of the Nigeria Police Judo Association.
As the new Commissioner of Police for Rivers State, CP Disu seeks the support and collaboration of the general public in the fight against crimes and criminality in Rivers State. He is dedicated to implementing proactive policing strategies, intelligence policing, and most importantly policing by consent to ensure a safer and more secure Rivers State.
