Lagos Assembly Members Mourn With Colleague and Family on the death of their Patriarch,PA Kasunmu

 




Members of the Lagos State House of Assembly have sent words  of commiseration to one their own, Hon Richard Adedamola Kasunmu and the entire Kasunmu  family of the Onilegbale of Lagos on the demise of their Patriarch, High Chief Adekunle  Olaosebikan Kasunmu 



The Assembly  in a press statement  issued and signed by Hon Ogundipe Stephen  Olukayode ,the Chairman  house committee on information,  strategy and security  described the latest Kasunmu  as a disciplined Naval officer who served the  Nigerian Navy meritoriously  before going  into private business  after his retirement  and that a political leader ,who contributed immensely  to the party’s  successful story in ikeja







According to him "It is with deep sense of solemnity, that we identify with Kasunmu family of Onilegbale of Lagos on passing of their patriarch High Chief Adekunle Olaosebikan Kasunmu in the early hours of Friday 10th May, 2024.High Chief was a Civil Engineer by profession and retired Naval officer who served in the Nigeria Navy meritoriously before going into private business after  his retirement. He was also a political leader of note and the proud father of our colleague and Deputy Majority Leader Hon. Richard Adedamola Kasunmu"


Continuing "the loss of a father is an irreplaceable void that words can hardly capture. He was not only a loving and responsible father but also a steadfast pillar of support for our leader and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during his lifetime. Papa held the family together, serving as a beacon of strength for the Kasunmu family both at home and abroad. For decades, he stood as an integral part of our great party and the progressive movement"


The late PA Kasunmu held the chieftaincy titles of Amoye Ilu of Lagos, Akeweje of Egbaland, Ikuku Mmirin of Abia among others. He was a man of faith and unwavering dedication in the society till he breaths his last. 


Conclusively "on behalf of our leader and mentor, Rt Hon (Dr) Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the entire Kasunmu family, as well as to the members of the All Progressive Congress (APC), especially in the Ikeja Local Government where he graciously hosted numerous party meetings. Our thoughts are also with all the family members on the loss of their priceless patriarch.As we bid farewell to Papa Kasunmu, may God grant the family and all of us the strength to bear this irreplaceable loss"
