It was a joyful moment on Sunday at the All Saints Anglican Church,in Mabayoje street in Oshodi as members representing Oshodi Isolo constituency-1 in the state assembly , Hon Ogundipe Stephen Olukayode celebrated his 60th birthday with prayer in the midst of his colleagues in assembly,family ,politicians and people of his constituency ,who trooped out en masse to honour the celebrant
The massive Church hall could not contain the enthusiastic people who came in large number to celebrate Hon Ogundipe
The house of Assembly train was led by the majority leader, Hon Noheem Adams,while the Council Chairman,Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede was represented by the vice Chairman,Hon Modupe Badmus Aregbe
The Vicar of the church, The Ven Tope Kelvin-Tapere in his sermon, urged political office holders to ensure they emulate Christ and love their neighbors which is the people.
He commended Hon Ogundipe for being a good representative of the people ,which reflected in the numbers of people who came to rejoice with him. He also acknowledged the good deeds of the honourable member by assisting the less privileged in the society at all times.
The celebrant in company of his wife,danced joyfully to the altar to receive the holy Communion with other congregants ,while the people ,joined them for the proper thanksgiving.
Hon Ogundipe in his brief remarks commended the Speaker of the house of Assembly,Hon Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa for his proactive and genuine leadership ,stressing that Lagos Assembly under his leadership has remained the most progressive in law making in the country.
He praised members for their spirit of camaraderie and oneness,saying that the house is one united entity,this the large turnout of members for his birthday
Those who attended the birthday thanksgiving arrested to the good nature of the celebrant and his commitment to the people's welfare as he constantly comes to their aids while in need
The event came to an end with a get-together at the residence of Alhaji Kehinde Olorunoje,who is a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)
