Honourable  Ogundipe Stephen Olukayode, the Lagos State House of Assembly Chairman, House Committee on Information, Strategy and Security, representing Oshodi-Isolo Constituency 1, has  appealed to the youth in his constituency to embrace dialogue rather than protest on the current economic situation in the country.

The lawmaker made the call at a stakeholders meeting held on Monday 29th July, 2024 at the marriage registry hall of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government in Lagos.

The meeting called to engage the people of the constituency majorly focused on the slated national protest over the state of the nation's  economy and high cost of living among other issues, which made some group of people calling for a nationwide protest.

Hon. Ogundipe who is popularly known as Omoj'omolo in his address acknowledged the hardship people are facing which obviously led to the frustrations and anxieties of Nigerians, but called for caution to embrace dialogue instead of protest which will definitely be hijacked by the mischief makers and hoodlums from the genuine protesters to perpetrate their evil plans and intentions against the government.

He said, "I understand the concerns of our people, but I urge them to channel their energy towards constructive dialogue and collaboration. Violence and disruption will only hinder our progress and undermine our collective efforts."
