Ojokoro 2025: My administration will be open, inclusive and progressive- 'Lanre Olaide; Chairmanship Aspirant, Ojokoro LCDA

 



A frontline aspirant vying for the chairmanship position in Ojokoro Local Council Development Area of Lagos State has been tentatively sharing his vision and how he intends to distinguish himself in handling the affairs of the Local Council if given the opportunity. He has seized the imagination and ambitions of the constituency; his message is a deviation from the norm as he emphasized a holistic approach to governance by putting the people's interest first and ensuring that no stone is left unturned. 



Introducing Comrade Aduragbemi Olanrewaju Akanbi OLAIDE; a dedicated right minded youth and LOYAL disciple of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's social and political philosophies and a full "son of the soil" with pragmatic approach to politics and advancement of the Ojokoro constituency. 



Having previously shared his ambition during consultations with party leaders, traditional and community heads; he has set about the task of reaching out directly to major stakeholders, cutting across ethnic, social and religious divides through several multidimensional engagements with the groups and individuals within the community.



Speaking at one of such event at a social parley tagged- *"Creating Opportunities in Governance for a Greater Ojokoro"* held within the community, he shared some snipets of his vision for indigenes and residents of Ojokoro LCDA; emphasising that bridging the gap between the governing class and the people will be a potent developmental strategy towards making Ojokoro work for all and also a destination point. 



"To solve a problem, one has to first identify, acknowledge and understand the challenges". He posited that the continued success of any community is a function of collective effort bound and driven by a common vision.



Comrade Olaide declared he will run an open, inclusive, transparent and progressive administration that will carry along all strata of the community. "We are all stakeholders and co-runners in the success of our dear Ojokoro LCDA", he said. 



A word says "Leadership sets the vision, but it is the collecive contributions of the people that delivers success". *Ojokoro LCDA* needs all of us to be the safe, secure, healthy and prosperous community we want it to be. Once being elected, our unique approach to strengthening institutions that will guarantee education for all, affordable health services, clean environment, social re-orientation programmes, entrepreneurship and technical skills development, security, infrastructural development and project management in every sector will resonate with the desires of the people."



He assured that the people through their representatives within the government and in collaboration with major stakeholders within the private and public sectors will be pivotal to project selection, implementation, monitoring, impact assessment and so on. He commended the past and incumbent chairmen who laid the solid foundation for the development of the LCDA, stressing that he will build on the foundations they laid as well as continue in the trailblazing heritage they have established. 



"We are all custodians of the future we want, many great leaders of the community, past and present have offered their services at great personal expense and sacfrices. There efforts and sacrifices must not wasted he said .



He appealed particularly to the youths to see him as one of them; a progressive youth with track records of high sense of responsibility, consistency, dedicated passion for service and development of Ojokoro LCDA. He reiterated his rallying call of a "one-house policy". 



Listening to Comrade 'Lanre Olaide, one can not but be struck by the fervor and steadfastness of his commitment to create a greater Ojokoro in active partnership with the constituents and all stakeholders.
