The Federal Government of Nigeria on Saturday 14th September 2024 commences conversion of one hundred and fifty commercial vehicles to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) in Abuja the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and four states of the country from 3 to 6pm in line with it's promise for a greener environment.
Fifty vehicles will be converted on first come to be served basis in these selected locations across Nigeria while 10,000 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) kits will be distributed all across the country.
The CNG emits low carbon gas which makes it unharmful to human health and eco-friendly, this gaseous or fossil fuel is lead and sulphur free which also extends the durability of many vehicle's engine.
The Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) is sold below 500 naira in Nigeria today in designated Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL) filling stations in the nation today.
The states are Lagos, Ogun, Oyo and Kaduna.
