The Lagos State Government has taken a major step towards boosting its agricultural sector with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Yihai Kerry Arawana Holdings Co. Limited (YKA), a Chinese agribusiness giant.
The partnership is set to revolutionize the rice value chain in Lagos State, with a particular focus on enhancing the operational capacity of the Lagos Rice Mill in Imota, Ikorodu.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, speaking at the signing ceremony, highlighted the importance of this collaboration for the state’s agricultural development. “This partnership marks a significant milestone for us as we work to elevate the rice value chain in Lagos State. The expertise that Yihai Kerry Arawana brings to the table will undoubtedly make a lasting impact,” he said.
