The accident occurred after the vehicle veered off the road at high speed, reportedly due to brake failure.
The driver, who miraculously escaped without injury, expressed his gratitude to the LASTMA Officers from Zone 5, Mile 2, for their quick and effective intervention. Security support was also provided by the Mile 2 Police Station throughout the rescue and evacuation operation.
Mr. Olalekan Bakare-Oki, General Manager of LASTMA, stressed the importance of road safety, urging motorists to observe speed limits and ensure their vehicles are in optimal condition before setting out on the road.
He also reminded the public that emergencies or incidents can be reported to LASTMA through their toll-free hotline (080000527862) or by visiting the newly launched 'Walk-In Complaint Centre' at LASTMA Headquarters in Oshodi.
