Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya Emerges President NURTW

The immediate  pas Chairman of the Lagos state council of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Alhaji Musliu Ayinde Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, has been elected as the National President of the Union  through a consensus election.

This historic event took place on Saturday evening at the Quadrennial Delegate Conference held at the union's Zonal Secretariat in Osogbo, Osun State.

The election was supervised by the acting National President, Aliyu Issa-Ore, and saw participation from four South West states - Ogun, Lagos, Ekiti, and Ondo. These states were selected by the national body to produce the president-elect.

In addition to MC Oluomo's election, Tajudeen Agbede was chosen as Vice President Southwest, and Akeem Adeosun was elected as trustee from the zone.

During his oath-taking ceremony, MC Oluomo emphasized the importance of unity and peace within the union. He extended an olive branch, forgiving those who offended him and seeking forgiveness from those he may have wronged.

MC Oluomo's message was clear: "This is our union, and we must be committed to its preservation. We will not allow anyone to destroy our means of livelihood." With his leadership, the NURTW is poised for a new era of growth and cooperation.
