The Secretary to the Lagos State Government, Barr. 'Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin was honoured on Friday by the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) Lagos State Command with an Award of Excellence. The award was in recognition of her selfless service and excellent contributions to the safety, security, peace and progress of Lagos State.
The award was presented to her by the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG Fayoade Adegoke, during the PCRC end-of-the-year banquet held at Police Officers Association Wives (POWA) Hall in lkeja.
Barr. 'Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin expressed her appreciation to the Chairman of the PCRC, Apostle Kehinde Showemimo and members for the award, adding that the award will serve "As a reminder that collaborative efforts whether in governance, advocacy or community engagement are instrumental to driving positive change."
She applauded PCRC modest contributions to the success of the implementation of the 'S' pillar, acronym for Security and Governance, in Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu's T.H.E.M.E.S Plus Developmental Agenda.
She noted that the PCRC efforts foster trust, understanding and collaboration among the people. These, she said, have been strengthening the bond between law enforcement and the communities they serve.
The SSG, therefore, urged the PCRC members and Lagosians to know that the future of every community in Lagos depends on unity, commitment, and shared responsibility by everyone to achieve greater milestones in the pursuit of peace and progress. Thereafter, she was decorated as a Matron of Lagos Command PCRC.
The Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG Fayoade Adegoke, was also commended for his support for PCRC activities and was presented with an award and farewell gift.
