The last might not have been heard of the acquittal of Lagos Doctor,Femi Olaleye by the Appeal court,Lagos division as his Lawyer,Dr Kemi Pinhero (SAN) has written to dissociate himself from the appeal filed by the Lagos state government against the judgment ,claiming he can't continue to represent such an "ungrateful soul" further
This medium learnt that after the acquittal and eventual release,Dr Olaleye failed to pay his lawyer his fees and a visit to thank him for the efforts put in ensuring he is left off the hook by all means necessary
Hiked by the ingratitude of the Medical Doctor,a message was sent to him, notifying him of plans by Dr Pinherio to withdraw his representation henceforth, but rather that to respond to the message from his Lawyer, he immediately contracted another junior lawyer and fled the country
It was gathered that he fled the country, when he made spirited efforts with some powerful Lagosians to ensure that the appeal that was to be filed by Lagos state government against the judgement of the Appeal court was frustrated, but when the appeal was eventually filed at the supreme Court, knowing the fact that the reprieve he got at the Appeal court was a short one,he made escape to the United Kingdom and he has been staying with his younger sister
However,Dr Pinhero has confided in some of his friends and associates that the barrage of attacks from his friends and colleagues made since he started representing the medical doctor and his refusal to comfort himself properly after his release made him to opt out of the matter at the supreme Court
It was gathered though,he has not paid for the service rendered by the legal luminary, but the perception of people since he took over the defence of the embattled medical doctor has made mockery of his many years in the bar ,which is creating bad public image for the respected Lawyer
Since he relocated abroad, he has been seen online lampooning the Lagos judiciary for sending him to jail in 2023, alleging he was unlawfully jailed
The Appeal filed at the supreme Court is yet unheard and no date has been fixed
