Members of the Lagos State house of Assembly have been warned not to drag President Bola Ahmed Tinubu into the internal crisis plaguing the Assembly, as the president is busy with providing dividends of democracy for the people
The warning was handed down on Tuesday at a press comference by the Arise Lagos Movement (ALM) , the convener of ALM, Comrade Abe Kolawole, described the controversy as an orchestrated attempt to tarnish Tinubu’s image, insisting that the issues do not reflect his leadership values or commitment to democracy.
He also dismissed claims that the sealing of the Speaker’s office was ordered by the President, calling it a “Nollywood drama” aimed at creating unnecessary tension.
Kolawole emphasized that Lagos has established mechanisms to resolve political disputes and warned against external interference.
He criticized former Vice President Atiku Abubakar for commenting on the matter, urging him to focus on Adamawa State politics instead of meddling in Lagos affairs.
Co-convener Comrade Olarinde Thomas also called on state leaders to address the crisis swiftly. He urged South-West lawmakers to respect institutional boundaries and described the situation as a “father-and-son” issue that would soon be resolved without outside influence.
