Eid-el-Fitr; FG Declares Monday and Tuesday Public holidays




The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Monday, March 31, and Tuesday, April 1, as public holidays to celebrate Eid-el-Fitr . 


 This announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, who congratulated Muslims on completing the Ramadan fast.


Tunji-Ojo encouraged Muslims to uphold values like self-discipline, compassion and peace. He also urged Nigerians to pray for the nation's peace, stability, and prosperity during this period. The minister hoped that the celebration would strengthen unity and cooperation across religious and ethnic groups.


Additionally, Tunji-Ojo advised citizens to celebrate safely and responsibly, extending kindness to the less privileged. On behalf of the Federal Government, he wished all Muslims a joyous Eid Mubarak, hoping the season would bring happiness, success, and fulfillment.
