In a vibrant show of fellowship, leadership, and community bonding, Hon. Stephen Olukayode Ogundipe popularly known as Omoj'omolo, member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Oshodi/Isolo Constituency-1 joined fellow parishioners, dignitaries, party leaders, and residents at the annual Easter Picnic Programme, held on Monday, April 21, 2025, at All Saints Anglican Church, Mabayoje Street, Oshodi, Lagos.
The event, which drew a large turnout of children, parishioners constituents, religious leaders, and political stakeholders, provided a platform for celebration, reflection, and renewed commitment to unity and development in Oshodi-Isolo.
Hon. Ogundipe, in his remarks, expressed deep appreciation to the Vicar, The Venerable Kelvin Tope-Tapere, other priests, the Chairman, Planning Committee, Mr Babafemi Bayode and the church community for consistently creating opportunities that foster peace, spiritual renewal, and grassroots connection. He specifically appreciated the gesture extended to the residents this year by the church where about a thousand loaves of breads and other food items were shared in commemorating the celebrations.
"It is always refreshing to reconnect with the people in a relaxed atmosphere like this. Beyond politics, our unity and collective strength as a people is what moves our community forward. Hon. Ogundipe further encouraged the youth and women in attendance to be involved in community building efforts and affirmed that such events would continue to enjoy his support as part of his broader vision to promote inclusive governance.
"I assure you and I remain committed to working closely with the people and the church to uplift Oshodi," he said.
The event was also graced by notable personalities, including Hon. Samuel Olu Apata representing Somolu constituency-02, Hon. David Doherty, formerly of Amuwo Odofin-02, Hon. Muyiwa Olabimtan, the Party Chairman, Alhaji Saheed Animashaun, all Wards Chairmen and several serving and former councillors in Oshodi Isolo Local Government. Their presence underscored the party’s unity and the collective interest in deepening engagement with the grassroots, especially through platforms that merge tradition, faith, and development.
The gathering ended on a joyful note with music, refreshments, and interactive sessions that reinforced the spirit of unity and hope across the community.
