At 60, NASFAT Congratulates Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu





The global Islamic society, Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT), with over 360 locations across the world, heartily congratulates the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, on the occasion of his 60th birthday. On behalf of the society, its members and global leadership, warm birthday wishes are extended to a visionary leader whose governance continues to impact lives across Lagos State and beyond.


The President of NASFAT, Alhaji Ayodeji AbdulWahid AbdulRauf, praised the Governor for his exemplary leadership marked by humility, resilience, and developmental focus. He described Governor Sanwo-Olu as a symbol of responsible governance, whose investment in infrastructure, education, public health and interfaith harmony is commendable and worthy of emulation. According to him, the Governor has demonstrated rare capacity in fostering partnerships that uplift citizens and bridge social gaps.


Alhaji AbdulRaufin a press release by Alhaji Shamsideen Owolabi Oseni,National Public Relations Secretary also lauded Governor Sanwo-Olu for recognising the relevance of faith-based organisations in community development. He expressed NASFAT’s continued readiness to support policies and programmes that align with social equity, youth empowerment, and spiritual growth. The President reaffirmed NASFAT’s commitment to complementing government efforts in advancing welfare and moral transformation among Lagosians.


In his message, the Chief Missioner of NASFAT, Imam Maroofdeen AbdulAzeez Onike, offered special prayers for Governor Sanwo-Olu, asking Allah to grant him good health, wisdom, and divine guidance. Imam Onike also appreciated the Governor’s trust and leadership, especially his appointment to the Lagos State Palliative Advisory Committee, recognising the role of religious leaders in societal support systems.


As Governor Sanwo-Olu marks his diamond jubilee, NASFAT joins voices across Lagos and Nigeria to celebrate a leader who has remained focused on inclusive growth, security, and justice. His achievements reflect the values of accountability and compassion that the society holds dear.
