The Managing Director of the Nigeria Railway Corporation, Dr. Kayode Opeifa, today paid a surprise visit to the Nigeria Railway Training School in Tejuosho, Lagos, as part of his commitment to capacity development and staff welfare.
During the visit, Dr. Opeifa interacted with a total of 26 drivers currently undergoing training, which includes:
• 12 Motive Power Officers
• 14 Loco Drivers
The trainees are drawn from key operational areas across the country, including:
• Lagos District
• Western District (Ibadan)
• Warri-Itakpe Train Service (WITS) – Agbor axis
The MD commended the trainees for their dedication and emphasized the Corporation’s unwavering focus on safety, professionalism, and service excellence. He also inspected the training facilities and assured the participants of the Corporation’s continued investment in human capital development to support the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
This visit reinforces the leadership’s hands-on approach and its commitment to fostering a new generation of railway professionals ready to drive Nigeria’s transportation future.
