Customs FC Bounces Back with 2–0 Win at 2025 Maritime Cup

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Football Team, popularly known as the GreyWolves, reignited their campaign at the 2025 Ships and Ports Maritime Cup with an emphatic 2–0 victory over LTT Coastal and Marine Services on Wednesday, November 12, at the NPA Sports Ground, Lagos.

The five-time champions, who suffered a narrow 1–0 defeat in their opening match, returned stronger and more determined. Deputy Superintendent of Customs Mikhail Abubakar was the hero of the day, opening the scoring in the 18th minute before doubling the lead with a superb free-kick in the 72nd minute to seal the win.

With this crucial victory, the GreyWolves have boosted their chances of advancing to the semi-finals as they prepare for their next group-stage encounter against ENL Consortium, scheduled for November 18, 2025, at the same venue.

The Commander, Training and Doctrine Command Department, Deputy Comptroller-General of Customs, Suleiman Chiroma, commended the team for their resilience, discipline, and impressive performance. He urged them to sustain the momentum and continue making the Service proud as they aim for another Maritime Cup triumph.
