NOA Lagos Strengthens Partnership with Ikoyi-Obalende LCDA to Deepen Grassroots Engagement

 



In a bid to enhance collaboration and promote effective grassroots mobilization, the management  of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) on Wednesday paid a working and familiarization visit to the Executive Chairman of Ikoyi-Obalende Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Secretariat.


The visit led by the State Director, Dr. Mustafa Adedeji Tukur, formed part of the Agency’s ongoing efforts to strengthen partnerships with local government authorities for the effective delivery of its core mandates -- value reorientation, public enlightenment and citizen mobilization.


Dr. Tukur was accompanied by senior officials from the Agency, including Mrs. Bolanle Aisha Tiamiyu, Deputy Director, Health and Social Care; Mr. Cosmas Olatunde Oluyemo, Deputy Director, Planning, Research and Strategy; Mrs. Clara Ngozi Obi, Deputy Director, Abuse Rights and Narcotics; Mrs. Aderoju Adeyanju Echioda, Deputy Director, Accounts and Finance; Mrs. Sarah Ailewon, and Mrs. Mohammed Memunat.


The delegation was warmly received by the Executive Chairman of Ikoyi-Obalende LCDA, Hon. Bola Oladunjoye, alongside other senior council officials including the Council Manager, Mrs. Seriki, and Mr. Demola.


In his remarks, Dr. Tukur expressed appreciation to the council for maintaining a cordial relationship with the Agency and emphasized the importance of continuous synergy in implementing national campaigns, civic education, and value reorientation programmes. He stated that closer collaboration with local authorities would help the Agency deepen its reach and strengthen citizen participation in national development.


Responding, Hon. Bola Oladunjoye commended NOA for its consistency and dedication to public enlightenment, acknowledging the Agency’s vital role in promoting civic responsibility and social cohesion. The Chairman assured the State Director of the council’s readiness to support all future NOA initiatives within the LCDA, while also encouraging the Agency to intensify its digital presence and leverage social media platforms for broader engagement with young people and communities.


The visit concluded on a positive note, with both parties reaffirming their shared commitment to strengthening grassroots communication, enhancing citizens’ understanding of government policies, and promoting unity and patriotism among residents of Ikoyi-Obalende.
