The Lagos State Football Association (LSFA) has taken a bold step towards establishing a unique identity with the unveiling of a new trophy inspired by the iconic Eyo masquerade, a cherished and timeless symbol of Lagos culture and heritage.
The unveiling took place during a courtesy visit by LSFA board members, led by Chairman Alhaji Gafar Liameed, to the Director General of the Lagos State Sports Commission, Mr. Lekan Fatodu. The visit provided an opportunity to formally present the trophy and reaffirm the association’s alignment with the state’s broader sports development vision.
The new trophy is designed to serve as a distinctive emblem of the Lagos FA. Beyond its aesthetic and cultural significance, it represents continuity, pride, and identity, marking a departure from the previous practice of presenting different cups to winners of the Lagos FA Cup.
