Eid al-Fitr: Badmos Calls for Peace, Tolerance, and Shared Prosperity

An All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Oyo State and House of Representatives hopeful for Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency, Hon. Bolaji Saheed Badmos, has extended warm greetings to Muslims on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, urging them to uphold the virtues of peace, unity, and compassion cultivated during the holy month of Ramadan.

In a goodwill message to mark the celebration, Hon. Badmos congratulated the Muslim faithful on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast, describing the period as one of deep reflection, sacrifice, discipline, and spiritual renewal.

He noted that the lessons learned during the sacred month patience, humility, charity, and devotion should not end with Ramadan but continue to guide daily living.

He emphasized the need for sustained commitment to peaceful coexistence, calling on residents of Akinyele and Lagelu Local Government Areas, as well as Nigerians in general, to remain steadfast in promoting harmony, tolerance, and mutual respect across religious and ethnic lines.

According to him, the strength of any society lies in its unity and the willingness of its people to work together for the common good.

Hon. Badmos also highlighted the importance of supporting the less privileged during and after the Eid celebrations, reminding the faithful that acts of kindness and generosity are central to the teachings of Islam. He encouraged well-meaning individuals to extend love and assistance to those in need, especially in challenging times.

Reflecting on the broader state of the nation, he called for renewed hope, collective responsibility, and active participation in community development.

He urged citizens to remain law-abiding, support initiatives that promote peace and progress, and continue to pray for the stability and prosperity of Oyo State and Nigeria at large.

“Eid is not only a celebration but also a reminder of our shared humanity and responsibilities to one another. Let us carry forward the spirit of Ramadan by being ambassadors of peace, agents of positive change, and pillars of support within our communities,” he stated.

Hon. Badmos further expressed optimism about the future, noting that with unity, dedication, and faith, greater progress can be achieved in Oyo State and across the nation.

He reaffirmed his commitment to service, inclusive development, and the welfare of the people of Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency.

He concluded by praying that the blessings of Eid al-Fitr bring joy, renewed strength, and abundant grace to every home, wishing all Muslims a peaceful, joyous, and fulfilling celebration.
