LAGOS TRAFFIC RADIO EARNS HIGH PUBLIC SATISFACTION RATINGS IN STATEWIDE SURVEY


Lagos Traffic Radio has been rated as a leading platform educating road users on the transportation system, according to findings from the Lagos State Government People Perception Survey.

The survey indicates that the station is making a measurable impact on daily commuting across the state, with respondents expressing strong satisfaction with its traffic information services and engagement platforms.

Feedback from residents across the five administrative divisions shows overwhelmingly positive ratings. Epe Division recorded 100 per cent satisfaction, Ikeja followed with 93 per cent, Badagry with 91 per cent, and Lagos Island with 82 per cent.

The report further highlights that a majority of respondents are satisfied with their interactions with Lagos Traffic Radio through call-in programmes, SMS, and social media platforms, reflecting active listener engagement across the state.

In terms of listenership distribution, 46 per cent of respondents identified as regular listeners during peak traffic periods. Lagos Island recorded the highest concentration of listeners, followed by Ikeja and Ikorodu divisions, while Badagry and Epe ranked third and fourth respectively.

The survey also assessed satisfaction with the frequency of traffic updates across the state. Findings show that 55 per cent of respondents reported being satisfied, while eight per cent indicated they were very satisfied, bringing the total positive feedback to 63 per cent statewide.

Division-specific ratings for update frequency show Ikeja at 60 per cent, Badagry at 57 per cent, Ikorodu at 51 per cent, and Lagos Island at 41 per cent. Epe Division stood out with 100 per cent of respondents reporting satisfaction.

The results underscore Lagos Traffic Radio’s role as a trusted source of real-time traffic information and transportation education, supporting smoother mobility and informed commuting decisions across Lagos State.
