Awujale stool: Propaganda war escalates as contestant targets Onabanjo

A disturbing trend has emerged in the ongoing Awujale stool succession crisis, with allegations that a contestant has enlisted the services of an anti-graft agency as well as top lawyers in the country to discredit and remove star aspirant, Omooba Abimbola Onabanjo (OAO), from the race.

This latest development has sparked outrage, with many viewing it as a desperate attempt to undermine Onabanjo's chances of ascending the throne.

According to sources, a petition is on its way to an antigraft body with top lawyers making frantic calls and calling for an investigation into Onabanjo's activities, properties, and finances. This move has been widely condemned as a witch-hunt, aimed at derailing Onabanjo's candidacy and fueled by a certain Mr F.A who is a contender himself.

Gboyega Adeoye, Executive Director of Media for Ethnic Equality (MEE) slammed the propaganda drive, stating, "This is a clear case of desperation and manipulation. The use of anti-graft agencies to settle scores is a threat to our democratic processes and the integrity of our institutions. We urge the concerned body to exercise caution and ensure that it is not being used as a tool for political vendetta."

Adeoye further emphasized that Onabanjo has been subjected to a barrage of false allegations and propaganda in the past, all aimed at discrediting him and undermining his popularity.

"It's time for the public to see through this charade and demand fairness and transparency in the Awujale stool succession process," he added.

The Awujale stool succession has been marred by controversies , with several aspirants vying for the position.

Onabanjo, a prominent contender, has been at the center of the drama, with some accusing him of being favored by the people.
