In continuation of the Commission’s routine pre-election activities, the INEC Chairman, Prof. Joash Ojo Amupitan (SAN), accompanied by National Commissioners and senior officials of the Commission, paid inspection visits to Ido/Osi and Oye Ekiti Local Government Areas to assess the level of preparedness ahead of the polls.
During the visits, the team evaluated the quantity and condition of electoral materials already received, while also reviewing the organizational arrangements being put in place by officials at the local government offices.
The inspection tour formed part of INEC’s strategic measures aimed at ensuring all logistics and operational plans are fully in place before election day.
The visits also provided an opportunity for the Hon Chairman INEC and his team to interact with field officers and monitor firsthand the progress made in key areas of election planning and coordination.
