Media Executive Salutes Gbenga Soloki at New Age, Hails Commitment to Democracy, Justice

The Chief Executive Officer of 24NewsTV Radio-TV Int'l Ltd, Ahmed Salami, has congratulated veteran media practitioner and civil rights activist, Gbenga Soloki, on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as an outstanding journalist, advocate for justice and one of the voices that have continued to strengthen Nigeria's democratic ideals.

In a statement issued in Abuja today, Salami commended Soloki's contributions to journalism, media consultancy and the promotion of human rights, saying his decades of service have earned him respect within and outside the media profession.

According to him, Soloki, a Political Science graduate of the University of Lagos, has distinguished himself as a consummate media practitioner whose career has spanned more than two decades.

He also recalled Soloki's active involvement in the struggle for the restoration of democracy in Nigeria, noting that his courage and unwavering commitment to civil liberties contributed significantly to the nation's democratic journey.

Salami further praised the celebrant's leadership as the Executive Director of the Centre Against Injustice and Domestic Violence, saying the organisation has continued to champion the cause of vulnerable citizens and promote justice, accountability and the protection of human rights.

He described Soloki as a man of integrity, courage and uncommon dedication whose influence has continued to inspire younger media professionals and advocates for social justice.

"Mr. Gbenga Soloki has consistently demonstrated that true leadership is defined by service, integrity and an unwavering commitment to humanity. His contributions to journalism, media consultancy and the defence of democratic values remain invaluable to our nation," Salami said.

He prayed for God's continued guidance, sound health, wisdom and greater accomplishments for the media executive as he begins another year of life.

"As you celebrate this special day, I wish you many more fruitful years in good health, divine favour and greater opportunities to continue serving humanity and contributing to Nigeria's development," he added.
