The National President, Police Officers' Wives Association (POWA) and Wife of the Inspector-General of Police, Chief Mrs. Mutiat Olufunmilola Disu, paid an official visit to Niger State Police Command, and she attended the Passing-Out Parade of the 29th Graduation ceremony of the Police Secondary School, Minna where 420 students passed out for the 2025/2026 Academic Session.
As part of the visit, the POWA President commissioned critical infrastructural projects within the institution, including the newly constructed School Guest House, Staff Quarters, and Foundation laying ceremony of POWA Quarters, reaffirming her commitment to promoting educational facilities, improved welfare for police personnel and their families.
In continuation of her engagements, Chief Mrs. Disu paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr.) Umaru Farouq Bahago, CON, the Emir of Minna, where she expressed profound appreciation for the Emir's unwavering support and invaluable contributions to the security, peace and overall well-being of the people of Niger State. In recognition of her exemplary service and to commemorate her historic visit, the Emir conferred on her the traditional title of "Jauharan Minna," meaning "The Precious Daughter of Minna."
The entourage of the POWA President includes the wife of AIG Zone 7, Evang. Angela Olaiya, the Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command CP Adamu Abdullahi Elleman, mnips, accompanied by his wife and POWA Chairperson Niger State Command, Mrs. Rakiya Adamu Elleman. Other dignitaries present included the Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), CC Aishat Sa'adu; National and State Executives of POWA; the Force Education Officer, DCP Ibidapo Oludare Olubiyi. Others senior officers are DCP Aminu Garba, DCP Habila Daniel, DCP Yakubu Isah, ACP Tor-Anyiin Daniel, ACP Abdulmalik Etsu, ACP Ogungbemi Igbekele C/O 12pmf and the Commandant, Police Secondary School, Minna, CSP Ibrahim Haruna amongst other officers.
The farmer governor of Niger State was ably represented at the occasion by Hon. Emmanuel Umar, the Principal Private Secretary (PPS) to the Governor who presented the message of the state governor and also donated immensely to the growth and development of the school.
