The ceremony, organised by the Office of Local Government Establishments and Training, recognised Officers who have rendered over three decades of meritorious service to Local Governments and Local Council Development Areas across the State.

Agoro commended the leadership of the Office for sustaining the initiative following its resuscitation in September 2025, describing the award as a demonstration of the State Government’s commitment to recognising and rewarding dedication, loyalty and selfless service.
He disclosed that 506 officers, comprising 492 senior officers and 14 junior officers, were being honoured for their contributions to the development of their respective Local Governments, Local Council Development Areas and Lagos State at large.

The Head of Service congratulated the award recipients, urging them to sustain the values of professionalism, commitment and responsibility that earned them the recognition, while serving as role models to younger Officers.

He also encouraged Public Servants to embrace continuous learning and upskilling in response to evolving public policies, socio-economic realities and rapid technological advancements.

He further urged Officers to prioritise their health and make effective use of the State’s Ilera Eko health insurance scheme.
