On the order of the Ogun State Commissioner Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, a manhunt has been launched for a man for alleged serial sexual molestation of a teenage boy.
The order comes on the heels of a formal complaint lodged at the Adigbe Police Station in Abeokuta on September 8, 2026 at about 5:00pm by 17-year-old victim.
Accompanied by his parents to the station, the boy alleged that the suspect, simply identified as Kola, sexually assaulted him on three occasions in January, 2026, and threatened him into silence.
"Following the report, he (the victim) was taken to a hospital within Adigbe axis for medical examination, while detectives commenced investigation," the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), said in a statement.
According to the statement, the command noted that the matter only came to Police attention by virtue of the report made on September 8 2026, adding that CP Ojajuni has directed detectives to intensify efforts to locate and arrest the fleeing suspect on sight.
"The command assures the public that the allegation is receiving urgent, professional and sensitive investigation, while reiterating its commitment to protecting children and vulnerable persons," the PPRO stated.
