OSPOLY FELICITATES AREE OF IREE, ALAAGBA OF AAGBA ON ELEVATION AS VICE CHAIRMEN, OSUN STATE COUNCIL OF OBAS

The Management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, has congratulated the Aree of Iree, His Royal Majesty, Oba Muritala Omotayo Oyelakin, and the Alaagba of Aagba, His Royal Majesty, Oba Rufus Ogunwole, on their elevation as Vice Chairmen of the Osun State Council of Obas.

The Institution described the elevation of the two revered traditional rulers as a well-deserved recognition of their exemplary leadership, wealth of traditional experience, commitment to peace, and dedication to the development of their respective domains and Osun State at large.

In a congratulatory message signed by the Registrar, Prince Abiodun Oyedele Oloyede, the Management, under the purposeful leadership of the Rector, Comrade Kehinde Adeyemi Alabi, expressed delight over the appointments.

According to the statement, the new responsibilities will further strengthen the role of the traditional institution in promoting peace, unity, cultural preservation, and sustainable community development.

The Management noted that traditional rulers remain indispensable stakeholders in governance and societal development, particularly through their invaluable roles in conflict resolution, preservation of cultural heritage, promotion of communal harmony, and maintenance of peaceful coexistence.

It expressed confidence that the Aree of Iree and the Alaagba of Aagba will bring their wisdom, vast leadership experience, and deep understanding of grassroots concerns to bear on the affairs of the Osun State Council of Obas.

The Polytechnic also commended the Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, for recognizing the contributions of traditional rulers and entrusting the two monarchs with greater responsibilities in the service of the State.

It added that the elevation is a source of immense pride to the respective communities and an encouragement to the people of Osun State, reinforcing the importance of responsible traditional leadership in advancing peace, unity, and development.

The Management particularly highlighted the significance of the Aree of Iree’s elevation to the Polytechnic and its host community, expressing optimism that the development will further strengthen the cordial relationship among the Institution, the traditional institution, and other stakeholders working towards educational advancement and community development.

While wishing the revered monarchs successful and impactful tenures, the Management prayed for sound health, long life, wisdom, and strength for them to discharge their responsibilities with distinction.

It reaffirmed the Polytechnic’s commitment to maintaining cordial relations with the traditional institution and other critical stakeholders in promoting the educational, cultural, and socio-economic development of Osun State.
