An indigenous group in Lagos,the Lagos People's Assembly (LPA) has rejoiced with the Governor of Lagos state,Mr Babajide Olushola Sanwoolu over his victory at the governorship election held on Saturday
LPA in a press release signed by Comrade Gbenga Soloki ,it's Convener described the Governor's reelection for a second term as a commendable feat and also a justification for the wonderful performance of the governor in his first term
The group commended the people of Lagos state for voting massively for Mr Governor ,which remains a reflection of their belief in his ability and capability,stressing that the Governor should also justify this overwhelming victory by continuing his pro- people projects across the state
The group equally assured the people that it will continue to monitor development in the state and report same to the people.
Finally,the LPA urged the Governor to as a matter of urgency summon a meeting of all the council Chairmen and charge them to increase their delivery of dividends of democracy in their domains,as the unfortunate incident during the presidential election was avoidable if those at the local government were proactive
LPA commended the independent National Electoral commission (INEC) for the wonderful job done before,during and after the election in the state,while the security agents were also praised for rising up to the occasion when called upon,but warned that a lot still required in Future elections
