AMUWO ODOFIN COUNCIL CHAIRMAN, BURAIMOH BAGS ETHICS AWARD.





The latest encomium for the leadership acumen of the Executive Chairman of Amuwo Odofin local government area of Lagos state  Engr. Dr. Valentine Buraimoh came from the anti-corruption and integrity watchdog non-governmental and international organization, Center for Ethics and Self Value Orientation.


According to the organization's Executive Director, Ethicist (Prince) Salih Musa Yakubu, Engr. Dr. Valentine Buraimoh’s leadership as the Executive Chairman of Amuwo-Odofin Local Government has been found to be credible, ethical and in line with global best practice in governance.


The team who would be meeting the council chairman for the first time, said the council under his leadership ranked amongst the leading third tier of government across the nation.


"It is almost impossible to see a functional local government across the country. We can attest to this because were we come from  staff for the last 12years have been paid thirty percent of their monthly income. So the morale of human capital across many local government is very low compared to what we have investigated and have also come to see by ourselves in Amuwo-Odofin Local Government. This is why we find him eligible for the prestigious award of recognition as the most credible and ethical grassroot government in Lagos State." the executive director explained. 



The Executive Chairman who was taken unawares at the investigations carried out by the organization on him to precipitate the recognition, expressed his profound gratitude for the honour. He promised to continue to do his best at the helms of affairs unto making Amuwo-Odofin Local Government a pride amongst its contemporaries.


In his words " this is another honour and I want to assure all that I will continue to ensure positive impacts are made in this local government, we shall embark on projects that are meaningful, that will be impactful on the residents.  I thank the organization for this honour"
