The executive chairman of Badagry local government, Hon. Onilude Olusegun Adeniran has charged operatives of Lagos State Traffic Management Authority to intensify efforts targeted at effective traffic management and control at major traffic flashpoints in the local government, devise measures to rein in obstinate drivers especially commercial drivers and maintain professionalism and non-violence measures while enforcing traffic rules and regulations.
Hon. Onilude gave the charge when he hosted in audience the Badagry Zonal Head of Lastma, Asst.Comptroller Hunpegan Hunga Kehinde who was on a familiarization visit to the council boss yesterday. Hon. Onilude commended operatives of Lastma for the yeoman job they are doing in traffic management and control among other mandates of the agency in the badagry corridor. The council boss assured the Lastma boss of his administration's support and cooperation.
Hon. Onilude and Asst. Comptroller Hunpegan further deliberated on diverse areas of synergy and or collaboration between the council authorities, other security agencies, major stakeholders alongside LASTMA officials on traffic control and management. The deliberations also dwell on the incorporation of LASTMA into the monthly security meeting convened by council, traffic impact assessment of operators of event centers, shopping malls, fuelling stations among other traffic related issues.
Also on hand to receive Lastma officials was the Vice-chairman, Hon. Elizabeth Pedetin Kappo; Council Manager, Sir. Asokere Sejuro Philip; Chief-of-staff, Dr. Sewedo Olalekan Samuel; Supervisor for works, Hon. Iroko Sulaimon; Supervisor for ICT, Hon. Hunyinsode Moses; Supervisor for WAPA, Hon. Risikat Padonu-Hassan; SA on Special Duty, Hon. Kamoru Ajape and Council Engineer, Engr. Jelili Yusuf.
