The Ojokoro Community Development Committee (CDC), under the leadership of Barrister S.O Alabi, celebrate Ojokoro Day with a week-long program, culminating in the dedication of the CDC hall and the announcement of a hundred million naira (NGN 100,000,000) fund for future projects on May 18, 2024, at Ojokoro LCDA.
Honorable Benjamin Adeyemi Olabinjo (BAO), member of the House of Representatives for Ifako Ijaiye Federal Constituency, bolstered the fundraising efforts with a generous donation of ten million naira (NGN 10,000,000) to both CDCs in the constituency, which goes to Ifako-Ijaiye CDC and Ojokoro CDC respectively.
He also awarded prizes to winners of a quiz competition held as part of the festivities, and commended Barrister S.O Alabi and his team for their integrity and successful completion of the community hall project.
Speaking to the press, Olabinjo addressed the distribution of palliative rice from the Ministry of Agriculture, assuring that Ifako Ijaiye and the CDC would soon benefit, with inclusion of religious groups, market leaders, and artisans in the process.
