Cholera Outbreak: Amuwo Odofin local government Chairman Advises Residents to Adhere To Health Advise

 



"Calls for concerted efforts to stamp out"




A call has gone to residents and business owners in Amuwo Odofin local government to ensure they properly wash their hands at all times and follow the directive being given by the state ministry of health over the outbreak of cholera in the state 



The admonition was given by the Executive Chairman of Amuwo Odofin local government,Engr Valentine Oluwaseyi Buraimoh while speaking with journalists on the unfortunate incident of the outbreak 



Engr Buraimoh stated that the local government is doing everything humanly possible to ensure that the virus is curtailed and as such,residents should also help by strictly observing rules being given by the health ministry  by washing their hands regularly, abstaining from food they are suspicious of its origin and ensuring they are sure of sources  of water they consume



According to him " this appeal is to residents of our local government,there is need to listen to the directive being given by the health department of the local government and the ministry of health in the state on the unfortunate outbreak of virus of cholera in the state. It's a deadly disease and we should all ensure we protect ourselves from contacting the dreaded virus by observing conditions stated by health workers"



"We must ensure strict observance of the rules by washing our hands regularly, abstaining from food whose sources are unknown and drink only water that is well purified. As a government,we have a responsibility to our people to advise them on this. Let's stay alive by following instructions of our health workers and our health department is doing enough enlightenment on the outbreak,so let's work with them to stamp out cholera in our dear state" he concluded
