The last has not been heard in the internal wranglings bedeviling Agbado Oke Odo Local Council Development area of Alimosho local government area of Lagos state as legislators in the LCDA on Wednesday passed a vote of no confidence on the Executive Chairman of the local government,Engr David Oladapo Famuyiwa
The Councillors led by their leader, hon Ogunyemi Olatunji unanimously passed the negative motion on the chairman and gave reasons for their actions, a move that was touted to have been a silent battle all these while
Among the offences leveled against the council Boss gross misconduct,promotion of caucuses against the directive of the party ,which led to the inability of the council to properly fund the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the local
The legislators further disclosed that the Chairman has continued to deny them them attendance of their seminars both locally and internationally ,as well as reckless spending of resources not allocated or approved by them
They also accused the council Boss of working against the interest of the party by sponsoring needless protests and press conferences against the party ,invariably making the party unpopular in the council area,and that the council chairman sponsor touts and hoodlums against the party ,which has led to serious division in the party ,which may affect the party in the forthcoming local government elections as he has refused the accept the candidates of the party
The legislators posited that with the above mentioned infractions committed by Engr David Famuyiwa,they are passing the vote of no confidence on him and will proceed with impeachment notice against him
At the plenary on Wednesday,all the Councillors supported the move and appended their signature to the notice sent to the court of the house for onward transmission to the council Boss
This medium in a chat with his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Mosunmola Olabige stated that the legislators had earlier debunked the move when they were confronted, but that it was a surprise when they woke up and saw the story
She stated that it's a political game that ought to be played accordingly, stressing that the Chairman performed creditably and she is proud of him as a Boss and that his good works will speak for him
