The Lagos State Government has implored its public service retirees to actively engage with various empowerment initiatives designed to foster continued engagement and provide new income streams.
The call was made by the Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro, during a send-forth ceremony for 18 Officers who retired from the Public Service Office in 2023 and 2024.

"As we celebrate our 18 distinguished officers from the Public Service Office, I extend the State Government's profound gratitude for your unwavering loyalty, dedication, and selflessness during your active service", Mr. Agoro stated.
He further lauded their contributions, noting, "Your impact extended beyond job descriptions; many of you served as mentors and leaders to your colleagues, demonstrating professional integrity and inspiring those you left in service".
Mr. Agoro reaffirmed the State Government's unwavering commitment to the timely processing and payment of retirement benefits for all its retirees. He also expressed heartfelt appreciation to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his steadfast support and visionary leadership, highlighting the Governor's exemplary dedication to the welfare of public servants, particularly retirees.
