The coach of the Lagos female volleyball team, Taiwo Oladipupo, has stated that no team is unbeatable, following his side’s convincing victory over Nasarawa in their second match at the ongoing 22nd National Sports Festival in Ogun State.
According to Oladipupo, the team stuck to tactical instructions and maintained control from the outset, showing improved consistency on the court.
He noted that the game was easier for them because many of the errors from their first match had been corrected, and the players significantly raised their level of performance, resulting in a straight-sets victory over Kaduna.
"The ladies played exactly as I instructed, and we won the game with ease. There's no team that's special here. I believe my team can overcome any opponent, and I don't give preference to any side," Oladipupo said.
The Eko girls walloped Kaduna 3-0 in their second group match and are now focused on advancing to the next round after their upcoming clash with the host team, Ogun.
In basketball, Team Lagos stunned Oyo 55-46 at the Alake Sports Centre. However, the male handball team did it again by defeating Osun 29-18 after edging Sokoto 25-24 in their opening game.
