As your tenure comes to an end, we pause with deep appreciation and admiration to say — we will surely miss you.
Your 8 years in office may feel like yesterday, but the legacy you've left behind is timeless. You governed with love, compassion, and a deep sense of purpose. Your leadership brought our community closer to its dreams in ways we could hardly have imagined.
Under your watchful eye, the following key sectors received critical attention and intervention:
1. Staff Welfare and Office Spaces
2. Markets Development
3. Education – Infrastructure and Learning Materials
4. Healthcare Improvement
5. Judiciary and Access to Justice
6. Security Enhancement
7. Rural and Inner-City Development
8. Resident Engagement and Inclusion
9. Road Infrastructure
These were long-standing areas in need of change, and you brought succour and strategic action to each.
Of course, the Festac Roads remain a talking point — perhaps the most controversial of them all. Yet, we acknowledge that such major infrastructural undertakings require collaboration across the three tiers of government. It would be unjust to place the blame solely on your shoulders. Moving forward, we must prioritize intergovernmental synergy — Federal, State, and Local — for the good of our community.
Still, your visible impact on road infrastructure cannot be denied. We proudly list among your achievements:
11 Road
23 Road
1st Avenue by Dominos (both sides)
The Burnt Bridge
Agidimo Road
Aroso Market Ring Road
Abule Ado Inlet Roads
512 Road
111 Road
Government is a continuum, and we trust that your successor will build on your foundation, taking the baton further for the benefit of Amuwo Odofin LGA.
Once again, well done, Sir. We will truly miss you — but your legacy will continue to inspire.
