The Customs Area Controller, Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Ogun II Command, Comptroller Olushola Akingbade, has decorated 25 newly promoted officers, following the recent nationwide promotion exercise approved by the Customs Management and Board.
Speaking at the decoration ceremony on Wednesday, 17 September 2025, Comptroller Akingbade congratulated the officers and urged them to view their new ranks as a call to greater dedication, discipline, and hard work.
She emphasised the need for proactivity in discharging their duties, reminding them that promotion comes with increased responsibility. “I encourage you all to be diligent, disciplined, and committed to the service of our nation. I wish you success as you progress in your careers,” she said.
The ceremony, held at the Command headquarters, was marked by a celebratory atmosphere as officers and their guests captured the occasion in photographs and exchanged goodwill messages in recognition of the milestone.
The nationwide promotion exercise has been described as part of the NCS’s ongoing efforts to reward excellence, boost morale, and strengthen its workforce across commands.
