The Director General, Lagos State Sports Commission, Lekan Fatodu, received Super Falcons Forward, Folashade Ijamilusi in his office at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, on a Courtesy Visit.
At the Meeting, the Director General stated that the Government will continue to fast-track the necessary support from private individuals and corporate bodies in championing effective sports development.
He noted that there’s no height that cannot be achieved, with the right support, right structure and the right minds coming together to make things happen.
Fatodu acknowledged the contributions of the member of the Super Falcons, Ijamilusi, who was part of the team that won WAFCON trophy for Nigeria in Morocco.
He commended her efforts in sports development particularly in football and education, noting that her intervention would inspire the girl-child to dream bigger across the displines.
Ijamilusi represented Lagos at the National Championship, testifying to the state’s commitment to grassroots sports development.
This collaboration is a significant step towards achieving our goals. A dedicated team has been established to oversee and ensure a strong and effective interface between collaborators and stakeholders, with a focus on achieving shared goals and promoting peace, unity, and pressure within the society, he added.
