The Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB) female football team delivered a standout performance as they edged out the Public Service Office team with a confident 1–0 win at the grand finale of the 10th Edition of the Head of Service (HOS) Games at Onikan Stadium on Tuesday, 2nd December 2025.
In a match that showcased grit, strategy, and undeniable teamwork, the LASUBEB side took control of the pitch early, maintaining disciplined coordination and pushing forward with purpose. Their relentless drive paid off with a well-executed goal that sealed the game and energised supporters across the stadium.
This victory reinforced the Board’s commitment to fostering excellence not just in education, but also in sportsmanship, teamwork, and the holistic development of its workforce. The team’s triumph reflects the Board’s culture of resilience, innovation, performance and values that continue to shape its operations across the State.
The Executive Chairman of LASUBEB, Dr Hakeem Babatunde Shittu expressed excitement on the win, adding that the 10th Edition of the HOS Games brought together Ministries, Departments, and Agencies in a unifying display of talent, wellness and camaraderie.
He added that LASUBEB’s win stands as a testament to the Board’s determination to lead both on and off the field.
