The General Manager of the Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASRRA), Mrs Bilikiss Adebiyi-Abiola has met with the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Mr. Cornelius Ojelabi, to discuss a strategic partnership aimed at expanding the scope of residents’ registration across the state.
The meeting, which was held at the Party Secretariat, Acme Road, Ogba, on Wednesday, 7th January, 2026, focused on leveraging the ongoing APC e-registration exercise, which was recently flagged off for card-carrying party members, as an avenue to also capture eligible Lagos residents who are yet to be registered or validated on the LASRRA platform.
During the engagement, both parties emphasised the importance of inclusive data capture in strengthening governance, planning, and service delivery in the state. The proposed collaboration aimed at creating additional touchpoints for residents to key into the state’s official identity database.
Speaking at the meeting, Bilikiss Adebiyi-Abiola noted that the partnership aligns with the Agency’s mandate to ensure that every resident of Lagos State is properly identified and captured in the State’s database, regardless of political affiliation.
“This collaboration presents an opportunity to deepen residents’ participation in the LASRRA initiative by taking registration closer to the people through existing, structured platforms,” the General Manager said.
In his remarks, APC Chairman Mr. Cornelius Ojelabi reaffirmed the party’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote good governance and inclusive development. He stated that the APC’s e-registration exercise provides a credible platform that can be utilised to support state-wide data gathering efforts for the benefit of Lagos residents.
