The Lagos State Audit Service Commission has carried out a verification exercise for all Auditors in the Lagos State Public Service as part of measures aimed at strengthening the integrity of personnel records and enhancing administrative efficiency.
The exercise, which began on Monday, 11th May and ended on Tuesday, 19th May 2026, was coordinated by the Career Management Department (CMD) of the Commission.
Speaking on the exercise, the Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Audit Service Commission, Mrs. Oluwakemi Amudat Garbadeen-Adedeji, explained that the initiative is designed to confirm the authenticity of officers’ academic and professional qualifications, while ensuring proper and up-to-date documentation of personnel records within the State Public Service.
She explained that officers who participated in the exercise were required to present original copies of their academic and service documents for verification, confirmation, and documentation.
Mrs. Garbadeen-Adedeji further disclosed that all verified certificates would be digitised and uploaded onto a secure cloud-based platform to guarantee proper and sustainable documentation, seamless accessibility, and ease of retrieval.
According to the Permanent Secretary, the initiative aligns with the Lagos State Government’s commitment to institutional reforms, improved records management, transparency, accountability, and the deployment of technology-driven solutions for efficient service delivery in the Public Service.
She added that the exercise would further reinforce credibility within the system and support the State Government’s vision of a more efficient, responsive, and technology-driven Public Service.
